As one of those who road test and vote for products that deserve to be in the Calyxta Beauty Awards, it’s always an exciting journey to see which ones of my picks have made it to the list of winners. One new category we added this year was the Best Newcomers—meaning products (whether old or new in the market) that we brought in just this year, that instantly became a hit among our customers!
Not surprised at all to see this toner in the Best Newcomers category. Though it’s been around in the US for quite sometime, even earning thousands upon thousands of raves on Amazon, it was relatively new on Calyxta, and we noticed how frequently our customers added it to cart, which just shows how effective it is in bringing out smoother, glowing skin!
Everything from The Ordinary lives up to the hype, but this particular product is a cut above the rest. From the name itself, this water-based serum has got a little bit of everything for your skin—it targets aging, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, brightens dark spots, hydrates, and firms up your skin’s texture!
Another strong contender and frequently seen in our customers’ baskets, this pure Vitamin C serum energizes and rejuvenates the skin, plus helps brighten dark spots to give you a healthy-looking glow!
One of my favorite eyeshadow palettes at the moment, Paprika’s Matte and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette gives me that peachy or burnt orange look I love to play around with lately. It goes so well with Glossier’s Cloud Paints in Beam and Dawn (winners under the Best in Makeup), so it’s something I definitely recommend to both beauty newbies and junkies!
Hands down the Calyxta Crew’s holy grail mascara, L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise needs to be in every girl’s makeup kit! It lengthens, volumizes, maintains curl, and best of all—it doesn’t give you panda eyes! Get this—I wore it while playing two hours of Ultimate Frisbee, and despite the sweat and wiping my face once in a while, it didn’t smudge at all. My makeup was still on point the entire time I was playing!
